The Ethnic Fashion Show

The Ethnic Fashion Show as hosted by the National Culture for Arts and Council  (NCAC) in Osogbo, Osun State, to mark her 40th anniversary will go a long way in the annals of history, the show was a huge success as the whole of Osogbo was agog with festivity, “everybody” who is “somebody” came out in mass to show support.

The FADAN President and her crew of established and budding designers had series of events to mark the occasion, first on the list was a stop at the Nike textile (Adire) production studio, to get more insight into the various processes involved in the production of the Adire fabric. Next, Mrs. Nike Okundaye played host to the Oba of Ataoja of Osogbo Land, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun Larooye II, Oba Adedokun Abolarin and FADAN President, Mrs. Funmi Ajila Ladipo  with her crew. Then, the show proper, where FADAN was ably represented on the runway with the following brands: Regalia by FAL,Modela Couture, Graces Hats, Ara ewa,Yagee,La penza ,Dozzy Couture ,Aibakena , Bismol, Topeve kreation, Victor Bassi , McCoy Agada , Elohor Sigbenu, Taiwo Ogunbiyi, and Ucha Charles  all under the auspices of FADAN.

The highlight of the event was the awards to our dear president, she carted home double honours, The outstanding Achievement Award for outstanding vision, Dedication and Commitment to Excellence in Arts/Culture  and Merit Award for Sustenance of Culture and Ethnic Fashion Trend.

It was indeed an epoch making event for FADAN and the Fashion industry at large
