A brainchild of Nigerian designer Adewale Adegbaiye Kiji, a creative couturier that got inspired by the qualities of “Kijipa” an ancient West African fabric credited for its vibrant colours, creative patterns, lasting quality and tagged the King of fabrics. Kijipa Couture was formally registered as Scenturium Ventures, a perfumery dealing in retail sales of perfumes and accessories made by World class designers situated in Lagos, West Africa.
We understand that every fabric has a unique voice so we listen attentively and interpret them to styles by painstakingly sourcing, selecting and sewing them to the finest cuts with good consideration for colour and comfort for our end users satisfactory consumption. Meet Our Creative Director/CEO
Funmi Ajila Ladipo (FAL) is one of the forerunner of the Nigerian fashion industry, a designer par excellence who’s creatively and professionalism have continually made distinct, even early in her career, as she was award the Fashion designer of the year 1987/88. Regalia, her design outfit has then been on a consistent rise, and become widely acclaimed for its dynamic and outstandingly creative designs.
She ventured into fashion designing when it was not as glamorous as it is now is now in our society, and stuck with her passion through thick and thin, and today we can say she is reaping the reward of her consistency, as her works have gained recognition both home and abroad, with an impressive clientele any designer would be ‘super pleased’ to have.
Mrs Ladipo, believes we do not need affirmation from the western countries to believe in our creative potential and products. She been at the forefront of promoting acceptance of indigenous products, Such that despite the exceptionality of her products and possible international acceptance, she has remained focused on projecting her products within the African terrain and beyond.
Mrs. Funmi Ajila Ladipo, is the elected President of Fashion Designers Association of Nigeria (FADAN). She considers this, a strategic position that would create an avenue for infusing the industry with a can do spirit that would ensure proper positioning for growth and relevance.
She was also, recently appointed as Ekiti state ambassador for culture & tourism, a position she‘s truly grateful to God for and desire to maximize as an avenue for further harnessing the potential for creatively and originality that abound in our society.
Blessed with a caring, wonderful and supportive husband, she is married to Rufai Ladipo, CEO of Agile Communications and former CEO, STB McCann, a truly dynamic man and a major stakeholder in the Advertising industry.
